This softcover book is designed as an introduction to and a souvenir of, the major exhibition of Constable’s landscape painting, drawings and prints held at the Tate gallery in 1991. The book takes an approach that is partly thematic and partly chronological and shows the variety of the artists responses to particular places and subjects.
