THE WORLD THEY WANTED
Far away from the noise, crime, and pollution of Manhattan, architect Matthew Swain built the ideal community in the green suburban countryside. Soon three families moved to Birch Hills, seeking refuge from the problems of city life. All of them saw in this new town the beginnings of an untroubled life. But the problems moved into suburbia with them and their dream world was soon tarnished by their own neurotic needs and desires.
